First get away......

We escaped to Singapore over the weekend!  Caught of with friends from our day's from Spain. What I love is you can go forever without seeing someone and when you do catch up it feels like we haven't been apart for long at all.  Addresses may have changed over and over, we crossed the world in different directions and then we are led back to "nearly" neighbors.  Life always has these little nuggets of surprise that I love!  Our other reason for heading south was Andre' was competing in a Rugby tournament.  We are new to this world and I can definitely call it a World.  As we found out the night of the tour dinner that we were TOUR VIRGINS which entailed consumption of a pile of alcohol....we survived but look forward to witnessing and welcoming the next virgins.  Before the tournament started Andre' had made the comment that he wished it would rain, we'll sometimes wishes come true and MORE so than you asked for, by the end of the afternoon, I'm not exaggerating our feet were swimming in piles of MUD.  Many spectators just gave up and took their shoes off, ick!!! The best was watching little man hit it hard on the pitch (learned all sorts of new vocab), the field, when a torrential downpour arrived during one of his matches.  The Dogs from Royal Selangor Club, his team, were very happy to bring home second place from the tournament! Sunday was spent catching up with the awesome Barbier's and touring a bit of Singapore.  The architecture is mind boggling, go check out Marina Bay Sands, see if you can find a photo of the infinity pool.  Two late nights and it's sad how I could just use a pillow.  No rest for the weary, things to find places for in the house then off to play tonight at our Auzzie neighbors home, The McLaw's house for dinner. Woo hoo!  Another holiday tomorrow, so no school, or work for Valentin which means were starting the holiday season early!
